Creative Director — Founder Brand (Acquisitions.com)
Remote · Full-time · [Pay range] · Reports to the founder
The role in one line
You own a founder's filming, content and calendar of calls: every day the world sees him, and every week more advisors, business owners and investors book a call.
About us
Acquisitions.com helps people buy, grow and combine profitable private businesses: buy-side, sell-side, and roll-ups that take groups of companies public. The founder has been part of over $1B of transactions and is building a personal brand on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok to reach three groups: advisors who want to run deals under their own brand, business owners, and investors.
We have the deals, the stories and the access. We need the person who turns that into the best founder brand in the space.
What you'll own
- Daily output. Short-form video every day on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok; one long YouTube video a week on the main channel; a second YouTube channel for clips, case studies and call recordings; Instagram stories.
- Long to short. Every long video and recorded call becomes clips, quotes and text posts.
- Editors. Briefs, deadlines, feedback and quality for a small team of freelance video editors. You hire and replace them.
- Packaging. Titles, thumbnails and the first 30 seconds of every long video, built on formats with proof that they work.
- Filming days. Shot lists for the founder's life and work (travel, family, deal rooms), batched so one filming day fills two weeks.
- Inbox to booked call. Instagram DMs and comments sorted (advisor, business owner, investor, client), booking links sent, hot leads flagged the same day.
- Retargeting. The best Shorts go into paid retargeting to people who already engaged; you judge them on cost per booked call.
- The scoreboard. One weekly number sheet, every Monday.
You decide alone
What to clip, captions, hooks, music, posting times, editor feedback, swapping an editor who misses deadlines, and which DMs get a booking link.
You'll check with the founder first
Any client result or dollar figure on screen; anything about raising money or investing (we teach how deals work, we never invite the public to invest); spend above the weekly budget; anything about family or private places.
Who you are
- You've grown a social account, a brand or a community that you can show us, with numbers.
- You're demanding about quality and you finish what you start.
- You know what makes a Short work: the hook, the first 2 seconds, captions that read with the sound off.
- You can manage freelancers and give clear, direct feedback.
- You care about outcomes (calls booked), not vanity numbers.
- Bonus: you've worked with a founder or creator, you edit yourself, or you know business, finance or real estate.
How to apply
Send us (1) one account or brand you grew and what the numbers did, (2) three Shorts or Reels you made or directed, and (3) one change you would make to the founder's channel in your first week. Start your message with "FOUNDER BRAND" so we know you read this far.
Where we're heading
The 12-month goal is the output of the biggest business channels: one great long video a week on the main channel, and volume everywhere else. For reference, on 17–20 Oct 2026 Alex Hormozi's two channels published about 1 long video a week, ~15 clips a day and ~23 Shorts a day combined.
| Today | Day 90 | Month 12 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main channel: long videos | 1 a week | 1 a week | 1 a week, every one built to be the best video on its topic |
| Main channel: Shorts | ~2 a day | 6 a day | 10 a day |
| Clips channel: 5–15 minute clips | none | 3 a day | 10–15 a day |
| Clips channel: Shorts | none | 2 a day | 10 a day |
| Instagram Reels and TikTok | some | every Short | every Short |
| Free full courses (2–3 hours) | none | 1 | 1 a quarter |
The main channel stays rare and excellent; the clips channel takes the volume, so each audience gets the videos it came for.
See the work: the scripts for this month's videos and the free tool they give away: the kind of video you'll be packaging, cutting and posting.
Your first 90 days
Month 1 is about never missing a day, month 2 finds the format that works, month 3 scales it. Each phase ends with a gate; miss it and you fix that before adding volume.
| Days 1–30: Set up the machine | Days 31–60: Find what works | Days 61–90: Scale it | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shorts (main channel) | 2 a day, on 3 platforms | 4 a day | 6 a day |
| Long video | 1 a week, packaged from proven formats | Views after 7 days up 50% on day 1 | Views after 7 days 3× day 1 |
| Clips channel | Set up; case studies and old call recordings moved there | Live: 1 clip a day | 3 clips + 2 Shorts a day |
| Research | A sheet of 50+ standout videos in our niche, and why each worked | One format chosen and run every week | That format repeated 15 times |
| Team | 1 editor on 24-hour turnaround | A second editor trained | A third editor for the clips channel |
| Tracking | Scoreboard live; every booking form asks "where did you find us?" | Call targets set from the real baseline | Cost per booked call falling month on month |
| Gate | 30 days, no missed post | A format that repeats | Booked calls up week on week |
Your week
How you run each day is yours. These are the weekly must-dos.
- Monday: send the scoreboard, with the 3 best Shorts of last week and why they worked
- Monday: pick 3 title and thumbnail options for this week's long video; test the thumbnails in a mock feed next to the videos it competes with
- Tuesday: 30-minute planning call with the founder: lock the long-video topic, title, thumbnail and the hook
- Wednesday or Thursday: filming block: 1 long video plus 10–15 short takes and life shots
- Every day, counted weekly: Shorts and clips posted on both channels and all 3 platforms, DMs answered within 12 hours, YouTube comments replied to
- During the week: add 10 standout videos to the research sheet, with why each worked and where the same format failed
- During the week: every editor brief has the source, timestamps, hook text, a reference video and a deadline
- Friday: swap retargeting ads to the week's 3 best Shorts; pause the weakest
- Friday: one change you'll make next week, based on the numbers
How you're measured
One number matters most: booked calls from content, every week. The rest explains it.
| KPI (weekly) | Day 30 | Day 60 | Day 90 | Month 12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shorts posted, main channel | 14 | 28 | 42 | 70 |
| Long videos, main channel | 4 in the month | 4 in the month | 4 in the month | 4 in the month |
| Clips posted, clips channel | 0 | 7 | 21 | 70–105 |
| Shorts posted, clips channel | 0 | 0 | 14 | 70 |
| Long video views after 7 days, vs. the day-1 baseline | baseline set | +50% | 3× | 10× |
| Best Short of the week (views) | 2,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 | 100,000 |
| New subscribers per 1,000 views | baseline set | +25% | +50% | +100% |
| Positive comments per 1,000 views | baseline set | +25% | +50% | +100% |
| DMs answered within 12 hours | 90% | 95% | 95% | 95% |
| Booked calls from content (advisors, owners, investors) | baseline set | target set on day 30 | up week on week | up week on week |
| Retargeting cost per booked call | baseline set | falling | falling | falling |
| Editor drafts delivered on time | 80% | 90% | 95% | 95% |
Why these: views alone can be bought; subscribers, positive comments and booked calls per 1,000 views show whether the right people are watching.
